Avika Gor Opens Up About Being Replaced in Salman Khan’s Films and Anticipated Bollywood Debut
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, popular actress Avika Gor discussed her professional journey and shed light on her experience of being replaced in Salman Khan’s films. Currently promoting her highly anticipated Bollywood debut movie, “1920: Horrors of the Heart,” Avika candidly shared her thoughts during the conversation.
Addressing the rumors of her exit from Salman Khan’s film “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” Avika clarified that she was not the one who backed out but rather was replaced by another actor. She explained that the paperwork was complete, and she was ready to sign the contract the following day when she received a call stating that the team had decided to proceed with a different artist. Avika gracefully accepted their decision without any resentment.
Interestingly, Avika revealed that she had anticipated such a situation as she had previously experienced a similar incident with the same team while working on Salman Khan’s “Antim.” In that case, she was replaced just two weeks before the film’s shooting. Despite these occurrences, Avika maintained a positive attitude, understanding that the filmmakers had their reasons and respected their choices.
When asked if she felt hurt by the replacements, Avika admitted that, as a human, she had experienced such emotions and wished the situations had not repeated. However, she firmly believed that everything happens for a reason and trusted that the filmmakers were making the best decisions for their films.
On the professional front, Avika Gor is eagerly preparing for her much-anticipated Bollywood debut in “1920: Horrors of the Heart.” The film, written by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Krishna Bhatt, is produced by Loneranger Products and Houseful Motion Pictures. Audiences can look forward to its theatrical release on June 23.
